Our highly politicized and polarized society often obscures an honest examination of questions which permeate our lives:

  • How does the popular culture portray sexuality, gender, and beauty?
  • How do teens decide when and whether to act on their sexuality?
  • Are some teenagers developing a fear of intimacy because sex is regularly associated with danger and disease?
  • Has the mass media superseded family, friends and religion as the most powerful influence in the lives of teenagers?

Teen Sexuality in a Culture of Confusion provides a common ground for addressing these and many other issues. It is a unique, accessible tool for facilitating an informed, balanced discussion among young people and adults. In the age of AIDS, such discussions can save lives.
